I started working on this project last December and so far have managed to spin and ply a total of 598 yards for 6 oz. I still have another 10 oz left to spin. The fiber was dyed by All Spun Up and it's the December Spin Along named "Water Lilies". The blend is 50/50 Merino and Tencel. The spindle is a Jenkins Turkish Delight.

look at that lovely cop! This is a great photo in and of itself. I kind of want to do a jigsaw puzzle of it. XD

This is the traditional way to wind onto a Turkish spindle. It forms what they call a "God's Eye" at the top. All it is, is going over 2 under one starting from the center going out and when you get to the edge you start back at the center again. If you look on youtube there's some videos on how to wind onto a Turkish spindle.

The really cool thing about how it winds on is the two wood pieces that are being wound on slide apart once you remove the center. After you remove the centre and pull out each piece it becomes a centre pull ball. :)

I have a Turkish spindle and have been using the over-2-under-1 method, but I guess I haven't been doing it very methodically. Maybe I'll try being more exact with my winding for the next ball so it will look as pretty as yours. Thanks for the answer!
