I had to do a self portrait assignment for Digital Imaging class and the first part I cannot post here because we had to put ourself into a famous painting but the second one we could do anything.
I've never been quite fond of self portraits so I decided to do something easy take a photo I already had of myself and then took a patch of tiger fur from one of my photos I took at the Cincinatti zoo and overlayed it on I did edit some of the stripes to make them longer and or shorter and add new ones. I also took out my eyebrow since one of the stripes kinda took that area over anyways. I then proceeded to make my eye more cat like which I then ended up taking a photo of my cat Beau's eye After getting a photo of his eye I shaped it to the area I wanted as well as dialated the pupil more.
I actually am not too fond of this picture...it was really easy to make and I didn't put that much effort into it...but what do you know my prof. just loved it she gave me a 100 and stated
"Eye creates a strong focal point...interesting use of line in highlights of hair(veritcal) and stripes on fur/skin(horizontal) and curling lines of flowers." so it looks like if I don't like the outcome of my image she will love it.
fantastic image. i love this effective you've done, and how you've shown it off in the composition / framing loks good and takes advantage of the mysteriouness of this creatures you've morphed! i don't fully understand wha i'm looking at. but i think sometimes thats a good thing
nice one
LOL thanks for the comment. If you don't know exactly what you are looking at look at the links I providing to show you the individual images one being a self portrait of me with flowers in my hair the other being tiger fur
so creative.....
Almost looking like a cat there! Not a bad thing, it is the strips that do it!
Pretty cool! How was your grade on it?
nice one
