This was part of my Tour de Fleece spinning. The fiber is Suri Alpaca dyed by Woolgatherings. It was spun and navajo plied on this Jenkins Turkish Delight spindle. This skein is only an ounce(77 yards) and took me 9 days total to spin and ply it. I still have 7 more ounces of this fiber to spin which should put me around 600 yards plenty to knit into a beautiful shawl.

I absolutely love the colours! I'm going to have to look up how to use that kind of spindle - I've never seen one like it before.

I hadn't seen one before until last year. I quickly found it's my favorite type of spindle. I love how it forms a center pull ball automatically once I'm done spinning.

I definitely need to google it, and see how it works - and where I would get one. =)

You can find some great videos on how to use them on youtube. I was looking for the ones I learned from and unfortunately they were removed but I know there are several other ones just as good. :)

I really like the colours here and how they all complement each other so well.. reminds me of both the sea and the land, in a way.

That's amazing! :O

Though it sounds like a lot of work ahead with 600 yards to go, but if a shawl is the result at the end, that just makes it all greater. :D
