On Friday January 16th I entered my photography portfolio into the
Scholastics Art and Writing Awards. On Saturday January the 17th all entries were looked over to see if they would be accepted or denied. The following Tuesday my Photography/Yearbook Advisor Mrs. Flora told me that when she went to pick up the denied entries that they didn't give her mine along with 3 of the 5 photos that fellow students submitted. We hoped for the best that they had been accepted and not misplaced. Yesterday after Yearbook Class I was talking to Flo about a few things and then she asked me did you get anything in the mail from Scholastics...I said no and she was quite surprised because she had. My portfolio was a finalist O_o and is going to New York for Nationals
This Sunday January 31st I get to go to South Side High School for the Award Ceremony and directly following that I get to go to the Fort Wayne Museum of Art, where the exhibit will be open with a reception.
