I decided to go to the Botanical Conservatory today. They had lots of beautiful orchids and hibiscus wish I could have stayed longer to get some nicer shots. I had one issue though my 300D is having a hard time focusing. I thought it was just one lens that was the problem while in Portland but nope I can't get any of my lenses to focus right :| I tried my 100 macro on my mom's camera she had no issues with it so I tried her 100 mm macro and well same issue. I'm hoping to take my little rebel in to Focal Point to get it cleaned and figure out what is wrong with it. I tried my best at manually focusing but my eyes aren't perfect so I can't tell if the shot is going is going to be dead on clear like I want it to be. I was going for trying to get the stigma and stamen to be tack sharp but hehe its still off.

Beautiful clarity .. I must look at mine and see if I can make it that good by fixing res and making bigger in dART.

:wow: The textures here are amazing. :jawdrop: It's like looking with the magnified glass and discovering new worlds on a petal of the flower.

:wow: This completely blows my flower shots away! I love how the petals kind of spiral towards the right, giving it a flowing kind of motion. And the colors are just eyepopping. :)

oh wow is that a beautiful shot o.o; The way the folds of the petal are at the top kind of reminds me of a wave. A painting/photomanip on that could be interesting. Ah, if had time...

The hibiscus looks like a huge red wave crashing down, making the centre drown. It looks like it's trying to speed up, to get out of the way. But I think it lost.

A very beautiful flower photo, I'd say. And I think the focusing's great, it's such a pain trying to het the stigma&samen sharp, almost lost my nerve last summer with my old camera! :) Anyway. Oh, I really like the green in the left corner. It makes the details show better. It's great to see such a beauty as this in the middle of the winter, it gives some hope that the summer will come. Sooner or later. I so miss the colours.
