I took this at the Cincinnati Zoo last week. This small snake was in the Insect Building and I'm not really sure what species it is I forgot to take a pic of the info sign opps o_o..anywho I'm sorry that I haven't been posting in the past few days.... my laptop decided to hate me again and not let me access a folder that had my whole months worth of pictures about 4.3 gb of pics....I finally fixed the problem I think and I can get to my pictures again O_o you have no idea how scared I was to lose all those pictures X_x so much work was put into them eeep it would have been horrible...but its alright now I think ^_^ so I have quite a bit of catching up to do.

This is my favorite little snake, the rough green snake, Opheodrys aestivus aestivus (there's a small chance it might be a smooth green snake but it's head looks more like a rough). They are incredibly docile and graceful creatures, and this is a beautiful capture of one! There is a photo of a neonate rough green snake in my scraps if you're interested.

next time I go to the zoo I'll check out the plate for it to see which one it is. Mom is thinking it is the rough over the smooth as well.

Ooooooooo, the color of its eye makes it look so intense. I wonder what it's thinking about. Odd, I don't think I've ever wondered that about a snake before.
