The fiber I used to knit this shawl was spun by me on my Wee Peggy out of an 8 oz blend of Alpaca, Merino, and Silk dyed by Woolgatherings on Etsy.

I started spinning the wool on August 17th 2011 and finished spinning it on August 20th 2011. Knitting began on August 21st but realized on September 17th I made a mistake so far back that I had to frog it completely and restarted. It was finished on October 14th.

Please make sure to check the extra photos below :D

I love crafting, but because I'm discalculate, knitting and crocheting were always beyond my reach. I do use a lot of yard, though in crafts and plastic canvas projects. It honestly never crossed my mind to spin and dye my own yarn. What a good idea, though, as there have been times I spent hours searching for just the right color :aww:

I don't see too many people these days spinning their own yarn! Then making a beautiful shawl out of it! :wow: :faint:
